This is a logo design project I just finished up for R.S. Wertz Automotive Detailing local to me in Marysville, Pennsylvania. I had a ton of fun working on this project with my interest in antique and classic cars. I was up for the challenge in designing a logo with the owner’s favorite car with a vintage or classic overall look that would be easily readable and recognizable.
First step of the process is to do a few rough sketches to present to the client. These are based on even looser sketches I do myself to generate basic ideas and imagery that could be used in the logo. Once the client picks and overall direction (the top left logo in this example) I can move forward to create a digital, more polished version.
This version(s) is then presented to the client for more feedback. Here we also explore colors, typography and other options. Once the decision is made I then go back and make any changes or remaining edits until a final is approved. After the final version is approved I create versions for different applications including the full logo, being vertical, horizontal, just the brand mark with imagery, the word mark with just the typography, etc.
